We now have our cheeses available online. Check the product page for what’s available. Orders placed on line for shipping are subject to a 30.00 minimum. We’re offering flat-rate 15.00 shipping, and orders over 100.00 will ship free. Choose the “Continental 48 States” option for shipping. Also note, orders placed Thursday, or Friday, will ship the following Monday. We don’t want anyone’s cheese sitting over the weekend somewhere.

If you’re ordering cheese ahead of time for pickup at a market, there is no minimum order. Choose the “Pick Up” option to Pick up in person

As the season move on, and we move toward spring, the new kids continue to grow and are now starting to eat solid foods.We take this opportunity to introduce them to new and different things, by giving them, and their moms things that we prune from the trees.

Goats, being browsers love trees, bushes, and woody plants, so it seems only natural to give them the prunings, and even the leftover Christmas tree.

Everyone bellies up the the salad bar, and the tree is almost stripped bare at this point. After it’s done, I’ll tie a weight to it and sink it in the pond for the young fish to hide in. We try to make use of everything and follow the seasons as much as we can.

CHINA WITH BUFFY AND FROSTY

I went down to check on everybody yesterday, and couldn’t see the new kids or China…. the next doe most likely to have kids.  They were in the hut down the hill.  China was most likely checking out a spot to have hers.

Here are our first kids of 2009, Buffy born first and then Frosty on the morning of December 12th.  Both are energetic and thrifty, but they already have distinctly different personalities. Buffy is precocious, and wants to emulate Mom at everything, including trying to eat brush!  Frosty wants to eat and then lay back and observe ‘goings on’ or just sleep.
